The Brabham BT24 was pretty much a update to the championship winning BT20 of 1966. The BT24 was lightened and had some minor revisions to the chassis, in order to fit the new Repco V8 motor. The BT24 won the 1967 championship, but in 1968, it's performance was definitely hurting for changes.
